Thomas "Tom" Alan Stauffer

Thomas A. Stauffer, Sr. 65, of Lima, Ohio and formerly of Findlay, crossed over peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio. He was born on July 11, 1956 in Findlay, Ohio to Carl and Irene (Martin) Stauffer. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1975.Tom married Brenda Anderson on December 5, 2017 in Tennessee, and she survives. Tom's children include Tom (Stephanie) Stauffer, Jr.; Jeff ((Amber Davis) Stauffer; and Ashley (Charles Newman) Stauffer. Step-children include Mike (Danielle) Anderson; Frank (Dee) Anderson, Jr.; and Robert (Trish) Anderson. There are 27 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Tom has one surviving sister, Sue Poland. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, William Stauffer; Carl Stauffer, Jr.; Rita Ash; Lydia Sanford and David Stauffer. Tom will be missed by his lapdog, Lucky.Tom was not a man of many words but he was a very hard worker. Tom was always willing to lend a hand and did not want recognition. He retired from ADS after 26 years of service. He loved being a part of dirt truck racing with his family, friends and teams, watching NASCAR, camping with Brenda, watching the grandchildren play sports, and taking Lucky for rides on the golf cart. He was a former Cub Scout leader and volunteer firefighter.Visitation for family and friends will be from 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
