Theresa Catherine Ostroski

Theresa C. Ostroski, age 90, of Findlay, Ohio and formerly of Harrisburg, PA died at 4:05 a.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021. Theresa was born on August 22, 1930 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania to Charles J. and Mary (Thul) Hirsch. She married Bernard J. Ostroski on July 9, 1949 in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on September 29, 1981. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ostroski (Doug) Enos, Sanford, MI and Jan (John) Kotey, Findlay, OH; grandchildren, Mark Ostroski and Megan Ostroski, Palmyra, PA; Andrew Kotey, Findlay, OH; Lauren Kotey, Raleigh, NC; and Michael Kotey, Findlay, OH; a great grandson, David Deyorio; a brother, James (Joan) Hirsch, Potomac Falls, VA; and a sister-in-law, Mary Hirsch, Mt. Carmel, PA. She was preceded in death by a son, Barry Ostroski, brothers, Charles Hirsch and Edward Hirsch, and a sister, Mary Dunlevey. Theresa was a 1948 graduate of Mt. Carmel Catholic High School, Mt. Carmel, PA. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay, OH. She retired from the State of Pennsylvania, Department of Revenue. She was active in her former church, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg, PA and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister to the sick and home bound. She also volunteered at Chopin Hall in Findlay, OH and Hospice of Central Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, PA. Visitation will be held at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, OH on Wednesday May 26, 2021 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Mt. Carmel, PA with Fr. Francis J. Karwacki officiating. The body has been cremated and Theresa's cremains will be buried with her husband at Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery in Mt.
