Rosemary Catherine (Forst) Williams

After 96 years of a joyful life, Rosemary is now playfully being teased by her husband Bill, hugging her parents, John and Catherine Forst, and reuniting with her siblings, Kathleen Frebault (Paul), Leroy Forst (Marilyn), Jerry Forst, and Carol Hoffman (living spouse Karl).  Her lifetime of canine friends, Skippy, Boo Boo, Sam, Joey, Mini, and Penne are wagging their tails wildly to greet her.

She is survived and celebrated by her daughters Merrie Williams (Don McCord), Gayle Williams Weidner (Roy Weidner), and grandchildren Collin McCord (Lauren), Connor McCord (Lauren), and Lydia Weidner.  Rosemary also cherished her extended family, especially numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends and neighbors in Columbus, Toledo, and Mt. Vernon (Apple Valley) Ohio.

Rosemary Forst grew up in German Village of Columbus and graduated from South High School in 1946.  She worked at Nicklaus Pharmacy as a teenager.   After graduation, she was an executive secretary at V. N.  Holderman and Sons Construction for many years.  During that time, she enjoyed going to dances with her sorority sisters, traveling, movies with her mother, and always, music at home with family. After meeting at a bowling alley, Rosemary and Bill married in 1960 and moved to Toledo, Ohio to start their lives together. They retired to their dream home on Apply Valley Lake in 1986.

In Rosemary’s honor, please sing out loud, enjoy a crossword puzzle, cook something new, try crochet, read a good book, go bowling, play euchre or bridge, and say thank you often.

Her daughters would like to thank the many staff members at Birchaven Village in Findlay Ohio who helped our mother not only live to age 96 but thrive through these extended years.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local public library as a tribute to Rosemary.

Visitation will be held at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home in Findlay Ohio on Friday April 11 from 2:30-4:30 pm.  A Celebration of Life Ceremony will immediately follow.
