Robert William Laube

Robert (Bob) William Laube, 85, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away on May 30, 2022, after a 15-year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Bob was born on June 11, 1936, to Norbert William and Nora Lucy (Dindal) Laube in Findlay. He was the youngest of 10 siblings and a twin amongst three sets of twins. After graduating from Findlay High School in 1954, Bob studied Accounting and Business Administration at International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana.Bob landed his first job as a cost accountant for Kuss Corporation. Bob left Kuss when he was drafted into the US Army based in Washington, DC. After proudly serving, he was honorably discharged and then went to work for the Cooper Tire and Rubber Company as a Computer Programming Analyst in the early days of Information Technology. Bob also worked in sales and distribution with Cooper leveraging his gregarious and outgoing personality. He eventually returned to computers and Information Technology, retiring in 1998 after 16 years with Marathon Oil Company.In 1962, Bob met Louise Klein, who had just moved to Findlay from Pittsburgh via Houston, Texas. They were married on June 6, 1964, and have three sons: Phil (Stephanie Trilli) of Cambridge, OH; Ken (Sarah LaForsch) of Cincinnati, OH; Tim (Renee Pillitteri) of Davisburg, MI. In addition to his daytime career, Bob and Louise opened Fashion Frames in 1972, a custom picture framing business they operated for 35 years. Bob worked dutifully to provide for his family and always wanted to ensure they never went without. Bob's absolute joy in retirement were his grandchildren: Aaron (Houston, TX), Catherine (Rochester, NY), Nathan (Cincinnati, OH), Anna (Davisburg, MI), and Julia (Cincinnati, OH). Bob always enjoyed a good conversation and spending time on his back porch with family, neighbors and friends. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Nora Laube, brothers and sisters Norbert "Bud" (Patricia), Dorothy "Dottie" (John dec.) Coontz, Thomas "Tom" (Gloria), Felician "John" (Virginia), Francis "Jerry" (Elizabeth "Biz" dec.), Miriam, James "Jim" (Shirley dec., Patricia), Suzanne "Suzie" (Joseph dec.) Vajentic. Bob is also preceded in death by his first wife, Jane (Walb) and their son Tony. Surviving are his wife Louise, their three sons and families, and his sister Marian (Leroy "Cot" dec.) Marquette.Visitation is Friday, June 3, 2022, from 6 - 9 pm at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, OH, with a rosary at 8:45pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 617 W Main Cross St, Findlay, OH.
