Robert G. Jeffery, Jr., age 74 of Arlington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 14, 2021.He was born on October 26, 1946 to the late Robert G. Jeffery, Sr. and Wanda (Murray) Jeffery. He graduated from Findlay High School in 1965. On July 9, 1966 he married the love of his life, Jean (Dukes) Jeffery. Surviving are his three loving children, Christopher Jeffery of Pensacola, FL, Bob (Leslee) Jeffery of Sylvania, Ohio, and Brigette (John) Spoon of Rawson, Ohio; and five beloved grandchildren Anne Jeffery, Wesley Jeffery, Jackson Jeffery, Amanda Spoon, and Curtis Spoon. He held a black belt in karate and taught it for several years. Then he got into powerlifting and competed in many contests, excelling to the point of being a top 10 contender in the super heavy class. He was also inducted into the Scottish Athletics International Hall of Fame, having won the competition three times. He worked at Hercules Tire and Rubber Company and he retired from Crushproof Tubing. Bob's life completely changed in September of 1972 when he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and for the rest of his life, he served the Lord with all of his heart. He loved to go to church and read and study his Bible daily. In 1977, he moved his family to Pensacola, Florida to attend Pensacola Bible Institute where he graduated with a Bachelor of Divinity Degree. He was a very active member of Liberty Baptist Church, Ada, where he led congregational singing and was in charge of the Youth Group and served as the Deacon. He had a far greater influence on his family and friends than he ever realized. We will always love you, we'll miss you, and will see you soon in Heaven!Visitation for friends and family will be held from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, as well as on Wednesday, May 19 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.A funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Don Ayers officiating.
