Ricky D. Stratton

Ricky D. Stratton, 67, of Mount Cory passed away at 12:05am, on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born to Rolla Sr. and Jean Ann (Amstutz) Stratton on January 5, 1957, in Bluffton, Ohio. Rick married Mona Gregory on August 22, 1981 and she survives.

Also surviving are Rick’s daughters; Lea (Jeff) Stratton and Tara (Ryan) Fackler, his seven grandchildren; Anthony (A.J.), Heidi, Greyson, Landon, Eva, Urijah and Aerianah, his brother; Rolla Jr. (Kathy E.) Stratton, his sisters; Kathy L. Stratton, Sharon Colburn and Lillie (Daniel) Brewer. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother; Robert Stratton. Rick was greatly loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

A graduate of Mount Cory High School, Rick enjoyed a variety of jobs. He began as a laborer in a local factory, several years as a Corrections Officer in the Hancock County Jail and finished his working years at Lowe’s Distribution Center.

He enjoyed going to casinos, working puzzles, playing computer games, camping but most of all spending time with family and friends. Rick and Mona have expressed that they would “live nowhere else” because they have the world’s best neighbors!

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Mount Cory Park Building, Park Street, Mount Cory, Ohio 45868, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

Memorials may be shared, in Rick’s name with the Bridge Hospice Care Center, 1900 South Main Street Findlay, Ohio 45840.
