Obituary

Rick Allan Rader, 65 of Findlay, Ohio, passed away suddenly on August 31, 2023 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on April 9, 1958 in North Baltimore, Ohio to the late Sherman and Naomi Ruth (Van Scooter) Rader. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Pamela Alesh, sister-in-law Sharon Rader, and  brothers-in-law Jerry Hoyt and Dan Moser.

Rick was married on February 7,1981 to Jill Karch and she survives in Findlay.  Also surviving are daughters; Heather (Benjamin) Wilkinson of Findlay, Melissa (Jason) Greer of Findlay, and Becky (Charles) Hiegel of Leipsic; grandchildren Lucas, Kaleb, Arron, Isabella, Jagger, Michael, Zoe, Dylan, Reid, and Molly; mother-in-law Helen (Larry deceased) Karch; brothers, Howard Rader, David (Lucy) Rader, James Rader, all of Findlay; sisters, Connie Hoyt of Kansas, Jennifer Moser of Cleveland, Oh, and Shirley (Tim) Beck of Findlay, Oh. 

Rick was formerly employed at the Findlay and Tiffin Ponderosa and Rally's in Findlay as a restaurant manager.  He was also employed as a department manager and in maintenance at the Tiffin Avenue Walmart. Rick attended First United Brethren Church in Findlay. 

Rick was a huge OSU Buckeye Fan, having been an usher for the Football games and received  the USHER of the YEAR AWARD.  He also loved going to restaurants and talking to the servers and other employees. He took pride in his culinary skills, was an amazing cook and loved to share his joy of cooking with others.  Rick was Dolly Parton's biggest fan and loved his yearly trips to Dollywood. His biggest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.  

Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Funeral Services will begin at 10 am on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the funeral home with his best friend, Elder Dennis Zimmerman and Pastor Rikkz Premnath officiating.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Rick's "Dialysis Girls" Sierra and Suzanne, and Dr. Iboaya for the amazing care that he received.
