Rebecca Noack Obituary

Rebecca Jane "Becky" Noack, 73 of Findlay passed away at 7:47 p.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Becky was born on April 4, 1948 in Findlay to the late Carl C. and Thelma (Miller) Barkimer. She married John Mitchell Noack on February 28, 1987 and he preceded her in death on November 20, 2003. Previously she was married to Gregory Roberts Beard in 1969 and surviving are their children, Elizabeth (Derek) Novotny of Waukesha, Wisconson, Jennifer Dean of Parma, Ohio, and Michael Beard of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Damien Schuck, Jordan Schuck, Nathan Novotny, Cameron Novotny, Orie Dean & a sister Peggy Warren. Becky was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Schuck and two sisters, Shirley DeLesDernier, and Barbara Heldman. Becky was a lifetime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She served her congregation in musical positions, on the long range planning committee, a member of Council, and started the Daycare program. She retired as Executive Officer of Vision & Vocational Services, Columbus, Ohio in 2007. Previously, she was the Chief Professional Officer of the Hancock County United Way, and had had a career as a public educator and Human Services Social Program Specialist. She attended Wittenberg University, where she received a Bachelors Degree in Education and competed Masters course work at Bowling Green State University in Public Administration. Becky enjoyed connecting people. She was an excellent cook, gardener, pianist, vocalist, & she loved to live life to it's fullest. She loved the beach, a good movie and good conversation. She was a life-long learner and natural teacher.Some of the many associations she was affiliated with were Zonta Club of Findlay, Columbus Rotary, United Way of America, Ohio Aging Eye Public Partnership Board, Management Advisory Committee. She was a graduate of the Hancock County Leadership Program. She was a member of the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, Hancock County Coordinating Council, Chair of the Findlay Panhellenic Delta Zeta Alumni organization, United Way of America Welfare Reform Taskforce and New Development Committee. She served on the Long Term Recovery Committee helping those who were impacted by the 100-year flood of the Blanchard River in 2007. Becky initiated the founding of the HATS transportation system through an anonymous donor. Her most important job in life was loving her children and grandchildren. They gave her much joy. Her family and friends were a great source of contentment to her in her retirement. Becky passed in peace and love surrounded in the comfort of her beloved family. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. There will also be visitation from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 935 West Bigelow Avenue, Findlay, Ohio followed by the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Will Stenke officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to United Way of Hancock County or the Cleveland Sight Center.
