Patricia A. (Lang) "Pat" Grundtisch

Patricia Grundtisch, 93 of Findlay, passed away at 2:50 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green, Ohio.

Pat was born July 23, 1930 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Frederick and Rose (Traunero) Lang.   She married Maury Grundtisch on June 20, 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2008.

She is survived by her sons, Mike Grundtisch (Laura) and Dave Grundtisch (Katha). Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Florian “Bud” Lang and sister, Mary Margaret (Don) Sands. 

She graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1948 and attended Heidelberg College. 

She loved to garden and had many beautiful plants and flowers.  She actually “liked” mowing the yard and enjoyed a refreshing gin cocktail on the patio.  
Animals held a special place in her heart, including the snakes, lizards, turtles and birds the boys would bring home.  The two dachshunds, Skeeter and Noel, Kate and Kittycats Poch, Kootzie, Rodman, Sparky and Barney (to name a few) were all treasured, pampered and well fed. 

The Courier crossword puzzle never had a chance as she swiftly filled the small boxes over a cup of coffee.  The New York Times puzzle would go down to the melodies of Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Andy Williams and Willie Nelson.  Pat was a diehard Cleveland Guardians, Browns, and Notre Dame fan (that had to hurt).

There will be a private family funeral service at a later date.
