Beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, Nicholas Ray Cass, passed away on June 21, 2023 at the age of 36. Nick is survived by his mother, Sheree and his father, Loren; his sisters, Jessica (Nick)and Lindsay (Brad); his brothers; Nathan (Amber)and Chris; his niece and nephews; Violet, Logan, and Leo.
Nick graduated from Findlay High School in 2005 and earned his Broadcasting Degree from The Ohio Center for Broadcasting. He had an affinity and soft-heart for all animals, especially the multitude of strays he took in over the years; an obsessive passion with sports, particularly his Ohio teams; as well as an undeniable love for his forever home, Findlay, Ohio. Many of his days were spent lamenting a tough Guardians loss, the Browns getting blown out (yet again), until that one shiny day, June 19, 2016, where he witnessed the Cavaliers bring home a championship.
Nick’s greatest gift, to those who spent any amount of time with him, was his ability to make you smile, to make you laugh, to add a little bit of joy to your day. His unique sense of humor and quick wit will be what those who loved him will miss the most. His humor often served as just the right remedy in difficult and stressful times. A perfectly quoted line from a movie. A hilarious impression. An expertly timed funny comment. It was seemingly small things like this that made spending time with Nick so much fun. He was compassionate but light hearted. He made you feel good. This is what made Nick special; what made him one of a kind.
Nick was employed at Findlay Verizon Store for many years and at Hilton Garden Inn as their front desk attendant.
