Michael Brian Kempher

Michael Brian Kempher, 64, of Findlay, passed away at 3:24 pm, in Jacksonville, Florida at the Mayo Clinic, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. He was born to Hugh Potter (predeceased) and Mary Barbara Lingman (predeceased) in Toledo, Ohio on March 4, 1961. His adoptive father was Bob Kempher (predeceased), and his stepfather was Wayne G. Orrender Jr. (predeceased).

Michael and Lori were married on June 17, 1989. They had 4 wonderful children, Jennifer (Matthew) Findley, of Owosso, Michigan, Shaylyn Mary Kempher (predeceased), Chase (Casey) Kempher of Rossford, Ohio, and Olivia (Dalton) Kingery.

 Michael’s siblings, Mark (Karen) Potter of Manchester, MA., Matthew (Amy) Potter of Belchertown, MA., Lisa Spampinato of Salem, MA., Cindy Kempher of Findlay, Ohio, and Bill (Joni) Orrender of Daytona Beach, Florida, three grandchildren Elizabeth and Maddie Findley, and Cillian Kempher also survive him.

He graduated from Oakwood High School in Dayton, Ohio, and went on to school in Gainesville, Florida. Michael spent the last 25 years working at Whirlpool Corporation in Quality Department.

Michael was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Michael always enjoyed watching sports, the Buckeyes on Saturdays, the Bengals on Sundays, and the Reds anytime they were playing. Michael loved doing anything that involved his family and friends, especially spending time up at the lake in the summer. Michael loved to travel, and cruising was his favorite mode of travel.

Visitation will be held for family and friends from 2pm-6pm on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay.  A funeral service will take place at 10am on Friday, March 28th, 2025, also at the funeral home with Pastor Will Stenke officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michael's name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital,  or American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
