Lester W. Bowman

Lester W. Bowman, 82, of Findlay, passed away at 8:57pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Les was born March 31, 1943 in Clyde, Ohio to the late Charles E. and Lois A. (Peffley) Bowman.

He is survived by his son, Robb A. Bowman of Findlay, his daughter, Betsy A. (Mark) Walton of Fostoria, Ohio; a brother, Ken Bowman also of Findlay; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Les was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Speelman.

After high school graduation, Les worked for the YMCA of Findlay for several years. He then became the assistant groundskeeper at Hillcrest Golf Course, where he remained until his retirement.

An avid fan and coach for many years, softball was his passion, including coaching Women’s Softball at Ohio Northern University.

As per Lester’s wishes there will be no visitation or services.
