Lanell M. English

Lanell M. English, age 89, of Findlay, Ohio, died at 12:05 a.m. on September 19, 2021. Lanell was born on May 7, 1932, in Crane, Texas to Amesdon and Lona (Jones) Murrell. She married Roy C. English on June 27, 1953, in Midland, Texas. She is survived and missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Rauni English, grandchildren, Eric and Emily, all of Rochester, NY, and by her sister and brother-in-law, Pola and Woody Ivy of Pecos, TX, as well as several nephews and a niece.She was predeceased by her husband, Roy, her daughter, Mary Kathleen "Kathy", her brother and sister-in-law Tipton and Beverly Murrell, and her brother-in-law, Chet English, Jr.Lanell graduated from Crane High School as valedictorian and attended Draughon's Business College and used her administrative skills in the workplace but most importantly in volunteer roles at many organizations over the years.For many decades she was an active member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, PEO International, University of Findlay Town and Campus, and a patron of the Fort Findlay Playhouse. She was a voracious reader and mahjong player as well as a talented seamstress and quilter. Above all, she treasured her family and friends.The family is planning a private burial at a future date. Memorial gifts in her honor may be made to the PEO International, a philanthropic educational organization helping deserving women pursue their educational goals.
