Karen A (Disch) Simko

Karen A. (Disch) Simko, 83 of Findlay, passed away at 3:13 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. Karen was born on December 24, 1939 in Lodi, Ohio to the late Otto C. and Elsie B. (Polenz) Disch.

On February 4, 1961, she married Jay A. Simko and he survives. Also surviving are their children, Paul (Sharon) Simko of Findlay, Ohio; Laura Simko of Cleveland, Ohio; Kurt (Sherry) Simko of Pickerington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Michael Simko, Abbie (Jason) Acord, Jay (Ceciley) Simko and Hilary (Trent) Speelman; and four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Paige, Maddy and Abraham.

Following high school graduation, Karen attended nursing school at Lutheran Hospital, in Cleveland, Ohio; from which she graduated as a registered nurse. She worked caring for people for many years.

 Karen was a longtime member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 935 West Bigelow Avenue, Findlay, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at Noon on Saturday at the church with Pastor Will Stenke officiating. Burial will be private at a later date.
