Joshua James Gorrell

Joshua James Gorrell, 49, of Findlay, entered into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

 Josh was born on July 1, 1976, to James Edwin  and Rebecca Lou (Wittenmyer) Gorrell of Findlay, Ohio. He graduated from Liberty Benton High School in 1995.  On April 17, 1999 he married Lindsey Wilson of Benton Ridge. Together they had two sons, Abe and Race and they survive him. He is also survived by his mother, Rebecca Gorrell, and his sister, Stacey (Scott) Moyer, all of Findlay Ohio. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.

His father, James Gorrell, preceded him in death.

 Josh was a member of the Church of the Living God and was baptized June 29, 2025. He had a fierce love for his family and friends. Whether he was hunting, golfing, lending a helping hand, or designing a new outdoor space, he poured his heart into everything he did. As the owner of Gorrell Hardscapes, he created beautiful outdoor kitchens, patios, fireplaces, and landscapes—many designed from his own hand-drawn plans. He also worked at UPS in Findlay.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 1:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. Josh’s life will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, officiated by his cousin, Pastor Cathy Davis, as well as Pastor Juan Salinas, and Paul Rexroad. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Living God, 701 North Main Street, Findlay, Ohio, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
