Joseph Phillip Slade

Joseph Phillip Slade, 68, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on June 25, 1955 in Boulder, Colorado to the late George and Lillian (Fidler) Slade. On December 11, 1982, he married Juanita Gonzales in Longmont, Colorado and she survives in Findlay.  Also surviving is son Ian (Nelly) Gonzales; grandchildren Elijah and Joslyn; brothers George (Linda), Dan (Debra), and Don Slade; and sister Linda Horner.  Joe was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Paula Lynn Bullock.

Joe retired from Lowe’s after over eighteen years of service.   He will be remembered for his jokes and making people laugh.  He loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest each day. Joe enjoyed using his metal detector to find “treasures”, as well as attending flea markets and classic car shows.

Joe’s care has been entrusted to Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue,  Findlay, OH. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
