John Taylor Miles, Sr., 82, of Findlay, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born on November 10, 1941, in Findlay, Ohio, to the late W. Perry and Georgia (Taylor) Miles.
John is survived by his children: John "Jack" T. Miles, Jr., Jeffrey (Teresa) Miles, James Stephen (Kathryn) Miles, Joseph D. Miles, Jason L. Miles and Jillian M. Miles; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, James B. (Betty) Miles; and best friend, Marge (Johnny) Mize. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Nancy (Gerald) Harden; and a granddaughter, Lindsay Marie Miles.
John was a graduate of Findlay High School. He worked for the City of Findlay as a mechanic in both the Street and Water Treatment departments. He could easily be found at his favorite restaurant, Waffle House, enjoying his "John Sandwich" - a double sausage patty melt on Texas toast. In his free time, he was always tinkering. He also enjoyed working on large machinery, amateur radio, boating in Michigan with his family, and having many large aquariums.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840, from 10:00AM, until the time of a funeral service at 12:00PM.
