Joe Leroy Blem

Joe Leroy Blem, 87 of Arlington, passed away at 4:04 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Joe was born November 6, 1936 in Williamstown, Ohio to the late Dwight and Jesse Belle (Patterson) Blem. 

On June 9, 1956 he married Barbara Jo Weidinger, she preceded him in death on May 25, 2020.

Surviving Joe are three children; Debra J. (Thomas) Norway, David J. (Diana) Blem and Tiffany A. Blem, as well as grandchildren Sara (Daniel) Cambotti Cali, Jacob (Carly) Cambotti, Kelsey (Austin) Norway Michel, Victoria (James) Uttley, and Nathan (Abigail) Norway and great grandchildren Marin Murphy, Frankie Cali, Lucille and Evelyn Michel, Liam and Emmy Norway.

Joe was preceded in death by two children, a son, Robert J. (Tina) Blem, a daughter, Rebecca A. Blem in 1983; a sister-in-law, Patricia A. Weidinger and two brothers; Jack and Jerry Blem.

Joe was a graduate of Arlington High School. Joe met the love of life, Barb, while she was working at Wilson’s Hamburger Shop in Findlay, Ohio. He worked as a Pilot and Sales Manager for Werk-Brau Co. Inc. of Findlay for many years. He was a member of the Central Ohio Soaring Association, Hancock County Chapter of Pheasants Forever and the Broken Bird Gun Club.

Visitation will be held for family and friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Sunday, April 28, 2024 as well as 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840. A funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday also at Kirkpatrick- Behnke Funeral Home with Rev. Gregg King officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Findlay, Ohio.
