James Edward Huffman, 84, of Findlay, passed away at 5:25am on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. James was born to the late Clarence and Elizabeth “Betty” (McBeath) Huffman on April 4, 1939, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. James married Karen Sue Strasser and she preceded him in death in 1990. James found love again and married Patricia Baldridge in 1991 and she survives.
Also surviving James are, a daughter Amy (Dr. Miguel) Jordan of Findlay, and two sons, Steve Huffman, and A.J. Huffman of Findlay, and a sister Diane Elliott of Toledo, three step-sons Brett Baldridge, Todd Baldridge, and Kenny Baldridge Jr. all of Findlay, four step-daughters Cindy Collins, Teri Elliott, and Jeannie Light of Findlay and Joyce Liptack of Toledo and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and Karen, James was also preceded in death by a sister Christine Hensel.
James graduated from Upper Sandusky high school and began college at Ohio University and after 2 years he was drafted. He then served our country in the United States Army. James then finished his Bachelor’s degree in chemical and electrical engineering at the University of Findlay. James spent his career at RCA, which later became Harris Corporation, as an engineer.
James enjoyed golf, bowling, travel, going to casinos and time spent with friends and family. James was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held for family and friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. Additional visitation will take place 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, February 2, 2024. A funeral service will commence at 3:00pm with Rev. Deb Dickerson officiating, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1120 West Main Cross, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
