James Ralph Browne

James Ralph Browne, 85, of Findlay, passed away at 2:52am Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Birchaven Nursing Home. Jim was born to the late Joseph and Ethel (Miles) Browne in Findlay, Ohio, on November 26, 1938. He married Janet Simon on May 27, 1960, and she survives.

Also surviving Jim are his two sons; Bradley S. (Darcy) Browne of Toledo and James Scott (Chrissy) Browne of Findlay and four grandchildren; Aaron (Elizabeth Skaggs) Browne, Krystle (Josh) Clark, Staci Thomas, Meghan Browne, eight great- grandchildren; Issac Sirmons, Hunter Melton, Brycen Melton, Haiden Melton, Zach Young, Isabella Sirmons, Annamarie Sirmons and Matthias Sirmons, and a brother, Paul Browne of Florida.

Jim was preceded in death by two sisters; Lenora Shafer, Dora Snodgrass and four brothers; Joe Browne, Jerrold Browne, Erroll Browne and Martin Browne.

Jim was a member of College First Church of God and was formerly employed by Hubbard Press as a linotype operator for 40 years. He also served in the Army Reserves for 6 months prior to getting married.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 12:00pm, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Kirkpatrick-Benhke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. The funeral service will begin immediately following at 12:00pm with Rev. David Welker officiating. Burial will take place at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia.
