Ivan E. (Drivin' Ivan) Breitigam, 80 of Mt. Blanchard, Ohio died peacefully at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the Heritage Nursing Home.
Ivan was born on January 2, 1944, in Findlay to the late Ralph E. and Vivian L. (Litzenberg) Breitigam.
He was a 1962 graduate of Findlay High School.
Ivan had various occupations including, truck driver, and owner /operator of his own towing and salvage business' and was retired from Whirlpool Corp.
Ivan loved all kinds of racing, and owned and raced several cars over the years. For several years he had push trucks at the local dirt tracks. He also loved taking his "55 Chevy to car shows.
He loved Ohio State Football and the Cleveland Browns, the family requests you wear your football attire.
He is survived by a daughter, Jami Breitigam (Travis Powell), and his pride and joy, two grandsons, Dustin Tanguay and Zachary Tanguay. He is also survived by a brother, L. Wayne (Donna) Breitigam, two sisters, Debra (Robert) Martin and Phyllis M. Gerritsen, and several nieces and nephews.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger E. Breitigam.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. There will also be one hour of visitation on Saturday at 10 am at the funeral home just prior to the memorial service. Ivan's nephew Roby Breitigam will conduct services at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
