Guadalupe M. Zapien, 73, of Findlay, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born in Fostoria, Ohio, on March 2, 1951, to the late Bruno and Herminia (Martinez) Guerra. She married the love of her life, Rodolfo Zapien, on July 24, 1974, and he survives in Findlay.
Guadalupe is also survived by her three daughters: Christina (Jerry) Barker, Sandra (Jason) Edwards, and Sonia (Drew) Goldsby; grandchildren: Kaliya A. Payne, Joel G. Lopez, Claire Goldsby, Dylan Goldsby, Adam Buenrostro, III, Cristian Buenrostro, and Christopher Barker; and her sister, Virginia Guerra. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Bruno Guerra Jr., Ricardo Guerra, Juanita Sanchez, and Teresa Hoyer.
She was a devoted Catholic, attending both St. Wendelin Catholic Church, in Fostoria, and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Findlay. She enjoyed cross stitching, online shopping, family get togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. She also was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Green Bay Packers.
At Guadalupe's request, no services will be held. Contributions in her memory may be shared with St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
