He was married for 68 wonderful years to Mary Lynn (McClelland) Corbin, who preceded him in death in 2022. They met at Findlay High School after Dick sweet talked her into doing his homework after he had broken his arm.
Dick is survived by his three sons; Bruce (Annie) of Indialantic, Florida, Doug (Tami) of Findlay, and Jeff (Barbie) of Findlay. He is also survived by four loving grandchildren: Lauren (Greg) Moser of Findlay, Ryan (Amanda) Corbin of Van Buren, Kyle (Kymberly) Corbin of Vista, California, and Molly (Collin) Corbin Fenimore of Findlay and his four step grandchildren, Esmeralda Sanchez of Florida, Harold Hojilla currently stationed in Poland, Haley (Shawn) Bakies Burgderfer of West Jefferson, Ohio, and Eric Bakies of Columbus, Ohio. He was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Braelynn and Harper Moser, Monti and Corbin Fenimore, Paxton and Mason Corbin, and Ellie and Ruby Burgderfer. Dick is preceded in death by his parents, sister Rita Corbin Wright, and brother Larry Corbin.
Dick was a member of the United States Air Force and was deployed to Japan during the Korean War. He truly enjoyed his time and the people he encountered during his service. He had "100 good times for every 1 bad." After returning, he began his career as a survey engineer at Marathon Oil where he eventually retired after 40 years.
Dick was an avid woodworker and spent many hours in his basement workshop designing and building various items. He would hand them over to Mary Lynn who would add her artistic touch. They created countless pieces for their children, grandchildren, and community that will be cherished for years to come. Dick was also a member of the local Ham radio club. He enjoyed talking to people all over the world under the call sign W8IYC.
