George Felix “Butch” Sepelak Jr., 77, of Findlay, passed away at 3:40am, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at The Heritage Nursing Home from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was born to the late George Felix Sr. and Betty Mae (Linebaugh) Sepelak, on December 30, 1947, in Barberton, Ohio. George then married Roberta Elaine “Bobbie” Lemon on October 9, 1976, and she survives.
Also surviving George are his children, Annette Rachelle (Bret) Bahn, Sara Joyce Sepelak and George Felix (Tarah) Sepelak III, his grandchildren, Gannon, Lainey, Tanner and Cooper Bahn, Haley Taylor, Katelyn Potter, Lily, Layla and Luke Sepelak, his siblings, Patricia Ann Gmerek, Diana Mae (Thomas) Shirer, Kevin Christopher (Laurie) Sepelak.
He was a 1965 graduate of Barberton High School. As a young boy George worked as a shoe shiner, following graduation George served in the Ohio Army National Guard. He then went to work for Babcock and Wilcox, in Barberton, Ohio. George completed a four- year apprenticeship with Boilermakers Local 85-Toledo and was a construction boilermaker until he retired in 2002 at age 55.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church; Sacristan, Lector, and Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist.
He always enjoyed spending time with his family and had many hobbies including playing pool, racket ball, pickle ball, bowling and golf. George was an avid fisherman, even going ice fishing. Watching sports was a favorite past time, George always rooted for Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Indians, Browns and Cavaliers.
The family would like to thank Bridge Home, Health and Hospice for their excellent care and compassion towards George.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm, on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2:00pm, Saturday, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio with Father Adam Hertzfeld as the celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
