Frieda J. Logsdon

Frieda Jean Logsdon, age 89, of Findlay, Ohio died at 3:10 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Fox Run Manor Nursing Home. Frieda was born on December 12, 1932 in Wood County, Ohio to the late Lonnie and Esther (Hosier) McDowell. On May 4, 1957 she married Joseph W. Logsdon and he preceded her in death on November 30, 2016.Frieda is survived by her children, Julie L. Logsdon, Columbus, OH; Joseph W. Logsdon, Jr. Findlay; Jeffrey A. Logsdon (Julie Garner), Ft. Wayne, IN; and Jayme R. Logsdon, Ft. Wayne, IN; three grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren, She was preceded in death by sisters, Joanne Watson, Peggy Sue Ohm, Phyllis Kennedy, Mary Ann Bohmler; and a brother, Richard McDowell.Frieda was a 1950 graduate of Findlay High School and attended Bowling Green State University. She worked at the Cerebral Palsy Residential Center while attending B.G.S.U. She was also employed at Ohio Bell Telephone Company for nine years and was a teacher's aide for Findlay City Schools. She retired from the Hancock Federal Credit Union after seventeen years of service. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society, L.C.B.A., Leo Councilettes and she also taught religious education for twenty-five years. Frieda assisted in forming the Young Miss Softball League and served on the Board of Directors as secretary for six years.Visitation will be from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840 with Msgr.
