Eva Agness (Denney) Prenzlin

Eva Agness Prenzlin, 100, of Findlay, Ohio passed away at 6:13 a.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Independence House in Fostoria. She was born on November 2, 1925, to the late Herbert and Loreen Henke (Bush) Denney in St. Mary’s, Ohio. Eva was first married to Jack Puchta and they were divorced. On November 5, 1966, she married Carl E. Prenzlin, Sr, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2009.

Surviving Eva two children, Ricky Lee Puchta of Findlay, and Katherine Ann (David) Cook of Georgia, and a daughter-in-law, Cindy Puchta of Findlay; stepchildren, Johnnie C. Prenzlin and Carl E. Prenzlin, both of Fostoria, Ohio; Carla Jean (Ed) Forney of Houston, Texas; Debra Sue Carstens of Fremont, Nebraska; Rebecca J. (Larry) Drake of Bloomdale, Ohio. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Eva was preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Puchta on May 25, 2019; and by her brothers, Richard, Donald, William and David Denney; and Robert Denney who died in infancy and a stepdaughter, Susan E. David.

 Eva was formerly employed at Marathon Oil Company in food service. She was a member of the Women of the Moose since 1965; a life member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary; AARP; and the Senior Citizens of Findlay and Carey.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Maple Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
