Esperanza "Hope" (Flores) Maldonado

Esperanza “Hope” Maldonado, 88 of Findlay, passed away 9:35 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Birchaven Retirement Community. She was born on March 12, 1936 in Monterey, Mexico to the late Marcos and Maria Catalina (Reyes) Flores.

On July 7, 1972 she married Hiram Maldonado and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2015. Hope is survived by two sisters, Mary (Joe) Lugo and Rosa (Nick) Amador both of Ottawa, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Gloria (Joe) Flores of Findlay. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Flores and Joe Flores; and a sister Ramona Pedraza.

Hope worked as the manager of security at a department store before retirement.

Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840 is assisting the family with arrangements; it was Hope’s wishes to be cremated. There will be no visitation or services at this time.
