Donald Weber Obituary

Donald C. "Don" Weber, 83, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on April 19, 1943, in Toledo, Ohio, Don was the son of the late Donald E. and Virginia Weber. On May 9, 1964, he married the love of his life, Marcia "Ann" Powell. Together they shared more than 62 years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering commitment to one another.

Don is survived by his devoted wife, Ann; his daughters, Angela A. (Pete) Shaw of North Carolina and Melissa L. Recker of Findlay; and his four beloved grandchildren, Mitchell J. Shaw of North Carolina, Zachary W. Shaw of Washington, D.C., Hannah E. Recker of Findlay, and Will D. Recker of Findlay. His family was the greatest joy of his life.

A 1961 graduate of Findlay High School, Don attended the University of Cincinnati Ohio College of Applied Science from 1961 to 1964 and later completed Senior Management Training through the Darden School of Business from 1994 to 1995.

Don dedicated more than four decades of his professional life to S.E. Johnson Companies in Maumee, Ohio, retiring as Senior Vice President after an accomplished 42-year career. Following retirement, he continued his passion for leadership and industry by serving as Vice President of Aviation for Lake Shore Toltest Corporation.

Throughout his career, Don was respected not only for his business acumen but also for his integrity and servant leadership. He served as President of the Board of Directors for the Flexible Pavements Association, President of the Board of the Findlay Country Club, President of the Board of 50 North, and as a member of the Board of Directors for Benton Ridge Telephone Company for nine years. He was also a longtime member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

Don lived with purpose. He believed in doing things the right way, worked tirelessly to improve whatever was placed before him, and quietly led by example. He had a passion for life, was an avid golfer, loved fishing, enjoyed hunting in his younger years, and especially treasured traveling with Ann. Whether in the boardroom, on the golf course, or around the family table, Don's steady presence could always be counted on.

To those who knew him best, Don was the family's rock, a steadfast man of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and humble generosity. He was never one to seek recognition, believing instead that actions spoke louder than words. Though a man of few words, he made each one count. Small in stature but mighty in character, he earned the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

His legacy is one of integrity, hard work, humility, and unconditional love for his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
