Donald Mieure

Donald “Don” Mieure, 84, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at 8:40am on Sunday morning, September 15, 2024 at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born to the late Garl and Myrtle (Ruby) Mieure on April 20, 1940, in Bridgeport, Illinois. Don married Judy Walsh on March 2,1962 and she survives.

Also surviving are 2 children; Kelli (Todd) Gresham of Findlay and Matthew Mieure of Sylvania, Ohio, five grandchildren; Andrew, Zack, Jacob (Brittany), Samantha and Gabriel, and a sister Elsie.

Preceding in death were his parents, and eleven siblings: Hubert, John, Harold, Gerald, Eugene, Lee, Robert, Charles, Lois, Helen and Ruby.

Following high school graduation, Don served our country in the United States Air Force. Following his service, Don graduated from Eastern Illinois University where he received a degree in Accounting and Economics. Putting those degrees to good use, Don spent 36 years at Marathon Oil Company. Retiring as the Telecommunications Manager.

 Don was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, where he served in numerous capacities. He was a lifetime member of Sycamore Springs Golf Club, serving as a board member for many years. He was a former member of Elks Club, former board member of the ADAMHS Board and Century Health, and a member of the Findlay Country Club.  

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 6:00pm on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. A Celebration of Life will take place at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 120 West Sandusky Street, at 10:00am on Saturday, September 28, 2024 with Rev. Amy Miller and Rev. Cathy Davis officiating.  Burial will be private, at a later date.
