Donald M. Egan, Sr.

Donald Egan, Sr., 83, of Findlay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Don was born in Youngstown, OH and grew up in Akron, where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Lynn (Ahern). He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph P. and Frances A. (Neidhart) Egan, a brother Joseph Jr. and two sons, Donny (Jr.) and Terry.He is survived by his loving wife Lynn, brothers Paul (Arlene) and Leonard (Judy), sister-in-law Barb, daughter Christine (Cloyce III) Wolfe, and grandchildren Andrew, Terra, Eli, and Ian.Don was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. He had a passion for art and applied this passion throughout his 40 year career with Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. as a Graphic Artist. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, sweatpants, watching Indy car racing, and spending time with his family and friends. Don, though often quiet, had a quick wit and a dry sense of humor that led to the coined phrase of "Papa Jokes" amongst his family.He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, with Fr. Martin Nassr, celebrant.
