Don graduated from Findlay High School in 1951. The next four years were spent at

Miami University. He was a member of the Alpha Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He

graduated from Miami in 1955. GO SKINS!!!!

Don proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Cooper Industrial

Products (a division of Cooper Tire and Rubber Co.) where he was a Senior Marketing

His passion for the game of golf has been well documented over the years! Don

traveled to Scotland (home of golf) 33 times to play the famous golf courses. A highlight

for him was taking his kids “across the pond” so they could experience what brought

their dad so much joy! SCOTLAND FOREVER!! And “always play the ball as it lies!”

His highest honor was just being “Dad” and later in life “Papa!” His best times were just

hanging out on Lime Street with the “gang” Also known as the Shrader Family!

He is now hanging out at the 19th hole with all of his pals who have been waiting for

him. As he always said, besides GO SKINS, was “Find joy in your life everyday” He
