David Eugene Wise

David E. Wise, 69, of Findlay, lost his 2 ½ year battle with leukemia, Friday, July 18, 2025, at Serenity Springs Nursing Home in Arlington, Ohio. He was born to the late Wilbur L. and Ruth A. (Kemmere) Wise on January 2, 1956, in Kenton, Ohio, and raised by Ruth and Lowell Staller. David married Fran Harsh on June 5, 1982, they have enjoyed 43 years of marriage and she survives.

Also surviving David are his son, Gary Wise, his “special girl”, daughter-in-law Kim Wise, grandchildren, Avery, Jackson and Olivia Wise, and David’s lifelong best friend Mike Winch.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lowell and Ruth Staller, a brother, Larry Wise and a granddaughter Sydney Wise.

David worked in the maintenance department for the YMCA, in Findlay for more than 25 years. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, they were the “apple of Pawpaw’s eye”.

David’s family wishes to thank Bridge Hospice, Cancer Patient Services, Armes Family Cancer Center, Dr. Derek Thomas, Dr. Onwere, Dr. Al Asadd, Dr. Ratnassamy, Mike Winch, Michael and Marie Baumlein, Serenity Springs and Marv Keller. Each of you held a special place in Dave’s heart and helped make his journey as painless as possible. Our words cannot adequately express our appreciation.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 2:00pm to 5:00pm, on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay.
