To a man who worked hard and played harder. David B. Neumann passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 2, 2021, at the age of 72, in his hometown of Findlay, Ohio. He was born on June 21, 1949 to the late Charles S. "Chick" and Mary B. (Kinny) Neumann. The man. The myth. The legend. Known for spending much of his early to late life exhibiting his skills on the pool table and bank-shot winning through tournaments across the country. Graduating from Findlay High School in the class of 1967, he was a U.S. Army Veteran drafted at the early age of 18 to serve in the Vietnam Conflict. After his military service he attended the University of Findlay and in 1979 he proceeded to work at Ball Metal Corporation for 36 years. Throughout his beautiful days of retirement it's safe to say he was well acquainted with the greens of the golf course. David B. loved to hang out with his "cronies", Dietsch Brothers ice cream, and a cold beer after a long day on the fairway. He was appreciated by many for his sharp wit, heart of gold, betting when the odds were in his favor, and bull-headed stubbornness. He is survived by his son, Tim Neumann, daughters, Valerie (Daniel) Gecik, Lexus Neumann, Aubrey Neumann and a granddaughter, Audrey Gecik, as well a a sister, Marcha Neumann, and two brothers, Steve (Cherylyn) Neumann and John Neumann. Even though a failing heart took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all of those that were lucky enough to know him. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
