David M. Leonard

David M. Leonard, 61, of Findlay passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Blanchard Valley Hospital emergency room. David was born April 18, 1963 in Findlay, the son of the late Michael Robert and Rosalyn Joyce (Buck) Leonard. He married Debra Ebersole on October 26, 1984 and she survives.

Additionally, David is survived by his children Krista (Nate) Cantu and Derek (Lauren) Leonard, 3 grandchildren; Landon, Brynn and Kaylee, his siblings; Beth (Scott) Foster, Lisa (Doug) Hague, Joseph (Alicia) Leonard, Andrew (Cynthia) Leonard and Aaron Leonard, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by a brother Tony Leonard.

David was a graduate of Findlay High School, following graduation he began work as a diesel mechanic, retiring from Shorty’s Truck Repair. Debra and David own King’s Concessions and have served the local community for 11 years, having shared their tasty foods, enjoying fairs, festivals and gatherings of all types.

He enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, faithfully supporting them in their activities.  David had a love for baking and kept himself busy helping others.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 1:00pm -5:00pm Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. A memorial service will begin at 5:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Cancer Patient Services, 1800 North Blanchard Street, Suite 120, Findlay, Ohio 45840 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38015-9959.
