Dannie D. Arras

Dannie D. Arras, age 72, of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at Bridge Hospice, held in love and comfort.

Born on June 15, 1953, Dannie spent his life as a hardworking, independent, and determined man. He took pride in doing things his own way and was known for his sharp wit, stubborn streak, and ability to fix just about anything. He faced life’s challenges head-on and never lost the fire in his spirit—even through his final days.

Dannie married Robin Ketcham on October 13, 1979, and though their paths later separated, their years together were an important part of his story. He is survived by his children, Abby (Andrew) Hughes and Shane (Ranae) Arras; his beloved grandchildren, Axton and Auric; his sisters, Lori (Paul) Mihaly and Janna (Joe) Petersen; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joan and Dean Arras.

Per his wishes, Dannie will be cremated, and no official services will be held.

His family takes comfort in knowing that Dannie’s strength, humor, and resilience live on in the memories he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Dannie’s memory by doing something he valued—fixing something that’s broken, helping someone quietly, or taking a moment to appreciate the simple things.
