Daniel Gale Johnson, Sr.

Daniel G. Johnson, Sr., 83 of Findlay died on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the Findlay Bridge Hospice Care Center. Daniel was born on April 8, 1938 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to the late George and Frances (Kreger) Johnson.He married Sandra Jager on September 21, 1961 and she survives. Also surviving are children, Pamela Johnson Powell (Steve) of Findlay; Daniel (Renee) Johnson, Jr. of Findlay; Robert (Abby) Johnson of Findlay; Jayden (Shanna) Johnson of Findlay and Steve Johnson of Fostoria.Also surviving are two brothers and two sisters, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren, Chantel Johnson and Chaz Johnson.Daniel was an avid golfer and was former club champion at Wayside Golf Course. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.He was retired from General Dynamics and a U.S. Navy veteran.Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, OH 45840 followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.The family suggests memorials in Daniel's honor be made to a charity of the donor's choice.Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.kirkpatrickbehnke.com
