Cheryl Ann Philipps, 76, of Findlay, passed away at 10:50 am on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Manor of Greendale. She was born in Findlay on March 5, 1947 to the late Frederick W. and Mary T. (Mathias) VanVoorhis.
She was married to Ed Kolhoff and later divorced. On October 3, 1993 she married Richard Philipps and he survives.
Cheryl is also survived by her children, Chris (Jeanna) Kolhoff; Jeff (Julie) Kolhoff both of Findlay; step-children, Brian (Beth) Philipps and Christina Radabaugh; grandchildren, Jordan (Bre) Kolhoff and Jared Kolhoff; thirteen step-grandchildren; and a sister, Caryn (Harry) Jones. She was preceded in death by her brother, William C VanVoorhis in 1983.
Cheryl was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a homemaker who volunteered in many areas of interest, including being a Candy Striper, Bloodmobile worker, and a Senior Center volunteer.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 PM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840. A Mass of Christian Burial for Cheryl will begin at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay, Ohio 45840. Private burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Cheryl’s name to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road Findlay, Ohio 45840.
