Cheryl Grose, 67 of Findlay passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Cheryl was born on December 29, 1955 in Bowling Green, Ohio to James and Betty (Seibert) Kaufman. Her mother Betty McCartney survives and James preceded her in death. Cheryl married Michael Grose on August 23, 1974 and he preceded her in death on February 2, 2015. She was preceded in death by her brother Gary Kaufman, a sister Nancy Ebright and father Lee McCartney.
Cheryl is survived by her son, James Grose and daughters; Holly Grose of Findlay and Shannon (Randy) Vanhoose of Fostoria, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Brianna, Jason, Julia (Jordan), William, Owen, Avey, Cali (Nick), Cadyn, Josephine; as well as two great grandchildren, James and Peyton; her brothers Kenny (Karen) Bretz and sisters, Becky Palmer and Denise (Bill) Gilles.
Cheryl was a 1974 graduate of North Baltimore High School. Following graduation, she began working at Hills Department store, Findlay Industries and opened her own cleaning company, where her clients became close friends.
She was a part of organizations like the Lupus Foundation and Blanchard Valley Women’s Auxiliary. Cheryl always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to sporting events, Bible Study and church at Stone Bridge Church of God.
A visitation will be held for friends and family on Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio. A funeral service will begin at 1:00pm on Friday, February 24, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev. Shane Helms officiating. Burial will be private.
