Charlotte L. Hardin, 87 of Findlay, peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home Sunday afternoon, April 23, 2023 at The Manor at Greendale in Findlay. She was born on March 23, 1936 in Rawson, Ohio to the late Leonard C. and Hazel G. (Hunt) Badertscher. She was married to Kenneth G. Hardin, and he preceded her in death, November 12, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her sister Darlene Courtney, of Findlay, Ohio.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheri (Duane) Motter of Rossville, Georgia; a son, Jeff Hardin of Findlay; and six grandchildren; Nathan (Jennifer) Motter, Katie (Johnny) Gartman, Heather Motter, Stephanie Motter, Brooke Hardin and Mitchell Hardin, ten great grandchildren; Daniel, Carmiya, Joel, Gabe, Ari, Mary, Emanuel, Jordan, Bella, and Harlow, as well as a brother, Don (Monica) Badertscher of Findlay, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
She was a 1954 graduate of Cory-Rawson Highschool. Charlotte worked at Fifth-Third Bank for over 25 years, retiring as Assistant Vice- President in the Trust Department.
Charlotte lived a full and active life, always pursuing learning. She got her Bachelor’s degree in Business at the age of 50 from the University of Findlay. The pursuit of learning continued throughout the rest of her life as she took numerous Bible classes, including Hebrew in her late 70s.
She and Gene moved to Las Cruces New Mexico in 2002, where they were very active in church ministry. Charlotte facilitated Bible studies in the Las Cruces prison for girls as she was passionate about sharing Jesus.
Visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Oho. A funeral will begin at 11:00am on Friday, April 28, 2023 at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Baldridge officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
