Bonnie L. (Lloyd) Waaland

Bonnie Waaland, 92, of Findlay went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday morning, July 21, 2024 at The Heritage Nursing Home. 
She was born to the late Andrew M. and L. Blanche (Wilcox) Lloyd, on October 12, 1931 in North Baltimore. Bonnie married Don R. Waaland on March 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death.
Bonnie is survived by her children; Eliot (Jean) Waaland, Marjorie (Steve) Knox and K. Dwight (Lisa) Waaland. Grandchildren Crystal (Russ) Reed, Katiey McDaniel, Melissa Waaland, Joe Waaland, and great-grandchildren; Taylor, Olivia, Arya, Abigail, Bently and Haisley and her brother, Jerry Lloyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son; Don E. Waaland; her brothers: Dr. Edwin Lloyd, Andrew Lloyd, William Lloyd, Thomas Lloyd; and a sister, Marjorie Gillespie.
Bonnie attended North Baltimore High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society, cheerleading and participated in the Senior class play. She attended Dr. Brown's Laboratory School and following graduation, worked as a lab assistant for her brother, Dr. Edwin Lloyd. Bonnie baby sat for many children over the years. She worked at JC Penney's, Findlay Sundry Sales, Findlay News Agency and Winebrenner Nursing Home.
Bonnie was an avid bowler, enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing pinochle, and spending time with her family. She was a member of Gateway Church, where she attended regularly until breaking her hip.
The family would like to extended their most sincere gratitude to the staff at The Heritage for their excellent care of Bonnie.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am on Friday, July 26, 2024, also at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home Burial to follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
