She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Colonel Daniel Snyder, her parents, James and Barbara Dawkins, and her cherished brother, Don Dawkins.
To know Barb Snyder was to adore her. Her sharp wit and infectious humor brought joy to everyone she encountered. She had an incredible gift for making others feel valued and cared for, and in return, she was deeply loved by those around her.
A first-generation American, Barb was the proud daughter of Scottish immigrants. She graduated from Findlay High School and went on to study at Ohio University. Barb had a long and meaningful career at The University of Findlay, where she worked in the Admissions Office and the Mazza Gallery. A loyal supporter of veterans, she was passionate about the American Veterans Organization (Amvets).
Barb’s greatest love, however, was for her family. She cherished her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren. She also had a deep passion for music, good friends, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the University of Findlay Oilers.
Barb will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. She was a shining light in the lives of so many, offering kindness, compassion, and joy to everyone around her. Her legacy of love and care will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
