Anna Catherine Scarbrough

Anna Catherine Scarbrough, 96, of rural Findlay passed away at 3:35 PM on Monday, December 20, 2021 in Findlay. She was born on September 11, 1925 in Marion, Ohio to the late Virgil and Alice (Miller) Shaw. Anna married Carroll Scarbrough on September 7, 1947, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2017.Anna is survived by her sons: Dean (Caren) Scarbrough of Deshler, Stanley (Joyce) Scarbrough and David (Patty) Scarbrough all of Findlay; grandchildren, Wendy (Dustin) Norton, Sally (Chad) Recker, Chad (Renata) Scarbrough, Carrie (Greg) Sampson, Chase (Rebecca) Scarbrough, Corey (Emilie) Scarbrough and Cristyn Scarbrough; and great-grandchildren, Carter and Parker Norton, CJ and Daphne Recker, Hayden and Gracyn Sampson, Andrew and Anna Scarbrough and Blake, Amelia, Benjamin, Alexandria and Beckham Scarbrough. Anna is also survived by a brother, Howard (Geneva, deceased) Shaw of Port Orange, Florida and sister, Grace Stock of Pasadena, California.Anna was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Scarbrough.She was an avid birder. She traveled the world from Attu Island in the Aleutians to Antarctica. She was a member of the Hancock Handlebars and bicycled in the United Kingdom and China, all to add to her birding life list.Visitation for Anna will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio 45840. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church with Pastor William Treadway officiating.
