Alma M. (Funk) Ferris

Alma M. "FunK" Ferris, 92, of Findlay passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 8:24am at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. She was born on November 30, 1932 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Louis H. and Beatrice S. (Kilinger) Funk. On April 23, 1955, Alma married Jack R Ferris, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2007. Surviving are two children, Paula A. Ferris and Tom E. Ferris both of Findlay. Her brother, Raymond Funk, preceded her in death.

Alma graduated from Altoona High School with the Class of 1950 and attended Findlay College. She was employed at Blanchard Valley Hospital from 1952-1961, and returned to work from 1979-1991 retiring in September 1991.

Alma was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She also enjoyed being a member of the Columbus, Ohio C.C.L.; Diapers to Diamonds; and the Blanchard Valley Hospital Auxiliary.

Visitation for family and friends will be at 10:00am -11:00am on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated beginning at 11:00am, celebrant Father Adam Hertzfeld. Burial will follow at St. Michael cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
