Alfonso "Jess" Jesus Gonzalez

Alfonso Jesus “Jess” Gonzalez, 57, passed away Monday, February 09, 2026, in Cancun, Mexico.  He was born September 5, 1968, in Findlay, Ohio, and was preceded in death by his parents, the late Alfonso Jr. and Margarita (Sarabia) Gonzalez.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved daughter, his pride and joy, Isabella Maria Gonzalez of Waterville, Ohio and his former wife and friend, Angela.  He is also survived by his siblings: Ricardo (Norma) Gonzalez, Javier (Jenny) Gonzalez, Patricia (Martin) Sanchez, all of Findlay, Ohio, and Leticia Gonzalez of Laredo, Texas.  He was also loved and will be greatly missed by countless cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, friends and coworkers.
Jess was a 1986 graduate of Findlay High School and went on to Bowling Green State University to receive a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science and a Master of Public Administration Degree.   He then received a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Toledo, College of Law.
Jess was currently working as a partner at Churchill, Smith, Gonzalez & Kuhn LLP in Temperance, Michigan.  He also served as a visiting Judge at the Municipal Court in Maumee, Ohio.  
Jess was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was a dedicated member of the Brandywine Country Club, both of Maumee, Ohio.
He always enjoyed sports and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan and loved cooking for friends and family.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 2:00-8:00pm, with a rosary/scripture service beginning at 7:30pm, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Reverend Adam Hertzfeld, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00am, at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio.  Burial will follow at the St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
