Dawn Arvy, 48, of Findlay passed away at 4:05 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at her residence. Dawn had fought a courageous battle with cancer for several years. She was born on February 17, 1971 to Glenn William Gibson and Sandie M. Schuette, now Sandie (Ron) Riker, both of whom survive in Findlay, OH. Dawn married Kevin Scott Karrick in 1991, who survives in Findlay. They were later divorced.
She is survived by sons, Cody J.G. Karrick of Findlay and Cole A. (Dezeray Meadows) Karrick of McComb, OH; and grandchildren Anna Karrick of Findlay, and Brantley Karrick, Jaxson Karrick and Nova Karrick of McComb, OH. Dawn is also survived by her brother, Jon W. Gibson of Findlay and her sister, Judy L. Grieser of Mesa, AZ.
Dawn was a lifetime member of the AMVETS Auxiliary, serving as secretary, and the DAV Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Findlay Military Association, Hancock County Breast Cancer Support Group and Toys 4 Tots. She thoroughly enjoyed crafts of all kinds and her beloved animals.
According to Dawn's wishes, her body will be given to the University of Toledo Medical Center's Anatomical Donation Program. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Amvets Post 21, 423 W. Trenton Ave. Findlay, Ohio.
