Joyce K. Brimley, age 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:40 a.m. on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Heritage. She was born on June 18, 1927 in Dugger, IN to Harry and Myrtle (Widdows) Kirchner. She married James Brimley on November 29, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 30, 1995.
Surviving are a son, J. Bruce Brimley and his wife Anne of Findlay; a daughter, Alison Kuhn and her husband Joe of Findlay; six grandchildren, Tony Konecny, Jon Brimley, Andrew Kuhn, Paul Kuhn, Tom Kuhn and Jenny Neary; 18 great-grandchildren; Kendra, Greg and Korie Konecny, Ava, James and Cora Brimley, Ronan and Riley Neary, Anna, Eli, Toby, Lucy, Ella, Wyatt, Lincoln, Callie, Ayla and Colton Kuhn, and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by all her siblings, four brothers, Harry, Paul, Jack and Daniel Kirchner, and two sisters, Eleanor Harris and Alice Carpenter.
Joyce's life reflected a heart that loved God and gave joyfully to others. She was a wonderful loving mother, mother-in-law, and grandma who loved her family dearly. She sent cards to people encouraging them. She was involved in international student ministries and sent cards to the military encouraging them in the war. She was a part of the Evangelical Free Church family. In Joyce's earlier years, she worked in a penicillin lab in Terre Haute, IN and in an office at Purdue University in Indiana. After she was married Joyce became a full time homemaker.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay, Ohio.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at the Findlay Evangelical Free Church, 2515 Heatherwood Drive, Findlay, Ohio. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
