Dana A. Huff
Obituary Service Details Condolences

Dana A. Huff, age 76 of Rawson, passed away the morning of Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at his residence. Dana was born on July 1, 1944 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Carl Byron and Martha (Vorhies) Huff. On June 29, 1991 Dana was married to Mary K. Timm and she survives. Also surviving are children Chris (Dan) Osborn of Mt. Cory, Ohio, Kim Blunk (husband Mark is deceased) of Findlay, Ohio, Martha Gonzalez of Findlay, and Leslie Huff of Findlay; step children Jennifer (Jim) Augustine of Rawson and Patrick (Kristin) Fagan of Findlay; and siblings Elaine Webster (husband Bob is deceased), Nancy Potter, Bill (Pam) Huff, Barbara Huff, and Ron Huff. Dana retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. after 35 years. Always a tinkerer was this man and if his wife needed something built or take care of, he was always there to do it. Otherwise he was in his garage tinkering with his '65 GTO which he had owned since 1966. He enjoyed taking that car to many car shows and revving up that engine as often as possible. He also enjoyed hunting in his younger years. But after a while, he could think of other things to do than sitting in the cold and waiting for deer to cross his path. He loved all twelve of his grandkids so much and until the last year attended as many sporting events as he could. Dana is described as the most patient grandpa by his grandkids and an especially patient dad by his children. We all have been amazed by his ability to not get rattled or out of sorts. Thank you to Jessica, Donna, and Marcia of Bridge Hospice. And especially our very own "private" nurse Jennifer Augustine, who with her knowledge, helped the family to understand what was happening and help care for this dear man. On a personal note, Dana's wife Mary would like to say she is forever grateful to his sister for introducing them. What a lucky day it was for Mary and Dana. Family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020, concluding with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 4:00 p.m. at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. Burial will follow at a later date. Due to COVID-19 concerns, face masks are required and social distancing is encouraged when possible. Memorials can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840, or Alzheimer's Association, 1800 N. Blanchard St. Suite 110, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
