David M. Lehman, age 70 of Findlay, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 while at work at the Hancock County Sanitary Landfill. Dave was born on December 19, 1949 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late George L. and Dorothy A. (Foust) Lehman.
Dave was married to Nancy M. Lichtle on July 26, 1969. They had recently celebrated 51 years of marriage. Nancy survives, along with their children Eric Lehman and Holly Lehman Michener, and a grandson, Ethan Michener, all of Findlay. Also surviving are brothers, Richard Lehman, George Lehman, and a sister Elizabeth (Ajay) Mattingly.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law April Lehman.
Dave retired from the Findlay Division of Whirlpool Corporation. He was employed there as a Process Engineer for over 40 years, then worked for the Hancock County Justice Center and most recently at the Hancock County Sanitary Landfill. He was a certified diver and was one of the founders of the Hancock County Underwater Search and Rescue team. Dave was a former Boy Scout, having been an Eagle Scout and also was Order of the Arrow. He enjoyed gardening, flowers and wood working. Dave was a jack of all trades and always helpful to his family and friends, and there when they needed him.
Visitation for Dave's family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 4-8:00 p.m. at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Cochran officiating.
