Cathie M. Thompson stepped out of this world and into eternity to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning of August 16, 2020 surrounded by her loving family at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay, Ohio.
She was born on April 26, 1952 to the late Richard and Margie (McClish) Woodruff, Sr., in Bluffton, Ohio. Cathie married her high school sweetheart David K. Thompson on July 26, 1969 at the Hope Temple in Findlay, Ohio. David survives in Findlay.
Surviving are her sons Michael (Tracey) Thompson of Rawson, Ohio and Matthew Thompson of Findlay, Ohio; twin daughters Nicole Thompson and Jayme (Joshua) Frederick of Upper Sandusky; grandchildren Megan (Jordan) Ibarra, Rosalyn (Jesse) Rettig, Austin (Brett) Leonard, Nicholas Thompson, Jasmyn Moloney, Erika Frederick, and Zachary Frederick; and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Richard (Becky) Woodruff, a brother-in-law Larry Thompson, sister-in-laws Gloria (Robert) Bame, Lu Anne (Roger) Geise, and Patti (Jim) Lauck, and several nieces and nephews who were always dear to her heart.
Cathie attended Cory Rawson High School and received her Cosmetology License in 1970. She opened her own beauty shop in 1972, The Beauty Bar Hair and Wig Salon. She was part of the "Look Good Feel Better" program, which is a free public service program that helps cancer patients feel better from the side effects of cancer treatments.
Cathie attended the Upper Room Church of God in Findlay.
Cathie's passion was her family, which included her entire salon and wig family. Cathie never met a stranger, she always met a new friend.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at KIRKPATRICK BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop Terry McBeath officiating with burial at Knollcrest Cemetery following the service.
