Harold Junior Ervin, age 79, of Findlay, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020 at his home in Findlay. He was born on January 2, 1941 to the late Harold L. Ervin and Wanda Stuttwig in Vandalia, Illinois.
Harold was a 1959 graduate of Findlay High School and served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years during Vietnam and was formerly employed as a printing press operator for Marathon Oil Company.
He was married to Judy Kitchen. They later divorced and she survives in Findlay.
Harold is survived by a son, Timothy S. (Lisa) Ervin of Findlay, a brother, Ron (Kathy) Ervin of Findlay, and a sister, Sue (William) Whipple of Cambridge, OH; grandchildren, Cole J. Ervin of Bryon, GA, Kylee L. (Sien) Chen of Richmond Hill, GA, Tessa E. Ervin, and Alexander C. (Shelby) Ervin, of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by a brother-in-law Larry E. (Nancy) Kitchen of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeffrey Ervin, and stepmother, Eva Bernice Ervin.
Harold was a former member of the Hancock Veterans Memorial Squad and Past Commander of the Ralph D. Cole Post # 3 American Legion and a member of a Bowling League.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 31, in the Chapel at Knollcrest Gardens east of Findlay, with Marianne Higley officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
